Getting started

How does the free trial lesson work?

Send the short form. We contact you by email or WhatsApp to choose a time. You meet a teacher in a live lesson, and the teacher checks your level and recommends a course.

Do I need to speak Arabic to start?

No. Complete beginners are welcome in every course except Conversation, which suits learners who already know some Arabic.

Which course should I start with?

Start with the free trial lesson. The teacher checks your level and goal and recommends the right course.

What do I need for the lessons?

A computer, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone and a stable internet connection.

Can I book for my child?

Yes. Arabic for Kids, GCSE and Quran lessons are open to children. Children are welcome from age 3, and for young children an adult should be nearby.

Lessons and teachers

Who are the teachers?

Our teachers are native Arabic speakers who teach Arabic as a foreign language. Meet them on the Teachers page.

Are lessons one-to-one?

Yes. Each lesson is live and private, so the teacher can set the pace to you.

Can I choose a female or male teacher?

Yes. Tell us when you book and we will match you with a teacher you prefer, subject to availability.

Do you teach in my time zone?

We teach students in more than 80 countries. Tell us your time zone and your best days and times on the trial form, and we will suggest lesson slots.

Can I take more than one course?

Yes. For example, many students combine Fusha for reading with Egyptian Arabic for conversation, or Arabic with Tajweed.

Do you prepare students for GCSE and IGCSE Arabic?

Yes. Tell us the exam board and we will confirm that a teacher is available for your syllabus before you book.

Pricing and payment

How much do lessons cost?

Plans start from $30 per month. The price depends on lesson length and lessons per week. See the pricing page for every plan.

Is there a discount for paying for several months?

Yes. Pay for 3 months and save 10%, or pay for 6 months and save 20%.

How do I pay?

You pay securely online with PayPal or a credit or debit card. We do not store card details on our servers.

What is your refund policy?

You can get a full refund within 3 calendar days of registration, before the first lesson. After the first lesson you can receive 50% of the value of the remaining unused lessons. Read the full refund policy for details.

What happens if we need to reschedule?

Tell us at least 24 hours before the lesson and we will reschedule it at no charge, subject to teacher availability.

What if the teacher cancels?

You get a make-up lesson at a time that suits you, or a credit of the same value. Teacher cancellations are never taken from your balance.

How do you keep children safe?
